Responsibilities:

• Craft and prepare meals in line with residents' dietary requirements, considering specific restrictions or allergies.
• Collaborate with care home management to plan menus, ensuring a diverse and balanced diet.
• Adhere to IDDSI (International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative) guidelines, maintaining relevant documentation.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation, ensuring visually appealing and appetising meals.
• Address individual resident's dietary needs in coordination with the care home team.
• Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards, complying with food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Manage stock, including ordering and inventory control, to ensure availability of necessary ingredients and supplies.
• Provide training and supervision to kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to proper food handling and preparation procedures.
